Colombia
Opportunity International made its very first loan in Colombia in 1971 and has a strong reputation there for reaching the poorest clients. It is currently working on establishing a microfinance bank to provide savings services to vulnerable populations, including those displaced by civil war.
Peru
Opportunity International’s Peruvian partner, ASIDME, provides micro credit and training to poor people living in the slums and poor neighbourhoods in and around Peru's capital, Lima. Millions of the city’s inhabitants depend on selling whatever they can to survive.
